FIFA 21 is set to be released on October 9, but you don’t have to wait till then to start building your Ultimate Team with the FUT Web App set to go live on September 30.
For those who don’t know, the FUT web app is a streamlined version of Ultimate Team that allows you to access the transfer market, squad selection menu, the SBC menu, and pack opening menu.
The Web App pretty much lets you do everything except play a match and access the champions channel.
The Web App is an important part of the Ultimate Team experience because it allows you to make coins and build your team before the FIFA 21 cycle fully begins on October 9.
Ahead of its release on September 30, we’ve put together 5 tips that will help you make the most of the Web App in the coming week – here’s a look at them;
Get On The Web App As Early As Possible
Being one of the first few thousand people to hop on the Web App will give you a chance to hunt for deals and capitalize on the market’s volatility.
There tends to be a lot of volatility in the transfer market during the first two hours of the Web App’s release, so in a bid to find some undervalued players, it would be a good idea to get on the web app as soon as it goes live.
The Web App is set to be released on September 30, but EA didn’t mention the exact time it’ll go live on their servers, so in order to get on it early, you need to follow EAs official communication channels on social media as they will most likely announce when the FUT 21 Web App is active.
Open Your Loyalty Packs Immediately
If you played Ultimate Team during the FIFA 20 cycle, you will receive “loyalty packs” the first time you log into the FIFA 21 Web App.
These loyalty packs are important because they will be your first opportunity to earn some coins to start trading on the transfer market.
If you manage to get high-rated players from any of your loyalty packs, you should sell them even though it might be tempting to hold on to them.
Most people won’t be lucky enough to pack a high-rated player, so doing so, will give you a massive advantage because you will have more coins than the average person, which, in turn, allows you to invest in cards that have the potential to rise in value.
There will be daily login rewards on the Web App for about two weeks which means that each day you log into the web app you’ll receive a reward from EA.
These rewards aren’t particularly significant – they’re usually things like a premium gold players pack, a small coin gift, and whatnot – but while they might be small rewards, they add up over time, so be sure to log into the web app every single day to stack up your rewards.
Don’t Build A Squad Until Release Day
This might be the most important piece of advice on this list. Do not build a squad until release day!
You see, the ‘Web App period’ is one of the most volatile periods in the FUT cycle, so to make the most of it, you need to stay liquid throughout the period in order to make certain moves in the transfer market.
Building a squad will prevent you from capitalizing on certain opportunities in the transfer market.
Sure, it might be a good idea to buy one or two cards that will go up in value when FIFA 21 gets released on consoles, but for the most part, you’re better off staying liquid during the Web App period.
SBCs are a great way to get some coins during the Web App.
When the Web App gets released there will be some starter SBCs you can complete pretty easily – and while these SBCs don’t give out insane rewards, they will be an opportunity to earn some coins, and some players, that you can eventually use to complete more advanced SBCs down the line.
