The Best 300k Squad To Buy In FIFA 21 (TOTY Edition)
With a lot of volatility surrounding the FIFA 21 transfer market because of TOTY, now would be a good time to liquidate your squad and play with a cheaper team for a little while in order to preserve the value of your coins.
On that note, here’s a look at a solid 300k team you can build and play with during the early TOTY period.
GK – Manuel Neuer
There are only a handful of goalkeepers who are on par with Manuel Neuer. The German shot-stopper is a nightmare to come up against.
With 87 diving, 89 reflexes and 91 kicking, if you make Neuer your number one, rest assured that he’ll consistently put up amazing performances for you in goal.
LB – Ferland Mendy
Benjamin Mendy is hands down one of the best left-backs in the entire game. He costs just 30k, but with Mendy, you can be sure you’re getting a ton of bang for your buck – because he performs like he’s worth well over 500k.
He’s a “modern” full-back. He’s capable of running down the flanks to make attacking contributions thanks to his dribbling and crossing stats, both of which are rated 92 and 79 respectively.
He boasts 99 pace and 87 defending with a shadow chemistry style, making him an absolute unit on the left flank.
CB – NIF Joe Gomez
Joe Gomez is a unique player. Despite being a mere 83 rated gold card, Joe Gomez is one of the best “affordable” centre-backs in FIFA 21.
Being 6’2, Gomez is strong in the air and his 83-rated strength stat also makes him strong on the ground.
With a shadow chemistry style, he possesses 92 pace and 91 defending, making him more effective than he already is at performing his role.
CB – Headliners Martin Hinteregger
Released as part of the headliners promo, Martin Hinteregger is by far one of the most underrated centre-backs in Ultimate Team.
His card is vastly underused, even amongst players with a Bundesliga squad, which, in our opinion, is an absolute travesty considering the stats that Hinteregger is packing.
Hinterregger boasts 87 reactions which allows him to react quickly in important gameplay situations. He also boasts 90 strength and 88 aggression, making him a force to be reckoned with.
He’s 6’0, which is a respectable height for a centre-back – he also possesses 92 jumping, allowing him to win aerial duels with ease, against players that are taller than him.
With a shadow chemistry style, Hinteregger possesses 83 pace and 92 defending, which when combined with the rest of his stats, makes him a complete centre-back.

RB – Nelson Semedo
Price – 5k
Nelson Semedo is admittedly one of the cheapest players on our list, but just because he costs a measly 5k, doesn’t mean he isn’t incredibly OP.
Semedo boasts 87 agility and 81 balance making him capable of drifting across the right flank with ease.
Defensively, Semedo is immense. With a shadow chemistry style, he possesses 91 interceptions, 82 defensive awareness, 91 standing tackles and 95 sliding tackles. You’d do well to add him to your team if you’re short on coins and are in search of a quality right-back.
CM – Frenkie De Jong
Back in October, Frenkie De Jong was one of the most OP midfielders in the entire game – while he’s currently not as OP as he used to be, he remains an effective midfielder – one that many would consider a “complete CM”
To get the most use out of De Jong, you’ll need to apply a shadow chemistry style on his card. It will give him 90 pace and 85 defending, allowing him to thrive in midfield.
He’s got 83 agility, 84 passing and 90 stamina, not to mention he’s 5’11 which allows him to provide a strong presence on the pitch.
CDM – Marcos Llorente
He’s no Patrick Vieira, but Marcos Llorente is a powerful defensive midfielder.
Standing at 6’2, Llorente boasts a huge frame which makes him difficult to dribble past. With a shadow chemistry style applied, Llorente possesses 94 pace and 87 defending, making him a force to be reckoned with in midfield.
CDM – Fabinho
Jurgen Klopp may have switched Fabinho’s role to centre-back in real life, but in Ultimate Team, Fabinho remains one of the most OP defensive midfielders in the game.
He costs just 34k, but he performs like an icon.
Fabinho lacks pace and he has a two-star weak foot, but what he lacks in speed and dexterity, he makes up for with strength and defensive prowess.
Fabinho boasts 81 strength and 86 aggression. He also possesses 97 interceptions and 91 defensive awareness with a shadow chemistry style.
If you’re on the lookout for a defensive midfielder who can keep your midfield on lock, Fabinho is your man.
LW – Marcus Rashford
Rashford is the very definition of OP. He’s 6’0, pacey and he possesses a five-star skill rating.
With a hunter chemistry style, Rashford boasts 99 pace and 93 shooting, making him an incredibly accurate finisher.
He also possesses 86 agility, which when combined with his five-star skill rating, makes him difficult to defend against.
RW – Lucas
First thing’s first. You need to apply a finisher chemistry style on Lucas to get the best out of him – but once you do, he’ll go from being a “good” winger to being an amazing winger.
A finisher chemistry style will give Lucas 94 dribbling and 88 shooting providing him with the ability to cut inside and launch powerful shots that fly into the back of the net.
There aren’t many wingers at this price point that can offer you as much value as Lucas.
ST – Timo Werner
Werner may be struggling to produce the goods for Chelsea in real life, but you can count on him to consistently find the back of your net for your team on the virtual pitch.
Werner boasts immense pace. A hunter chemistry style grants him 99 pace and 91 shooting, both of which combine to make him unstoppable in the attacking third.
