Top 3 Buffs And Nerfs In DOTA Patch 7.30D
The new Dota patch came out with some major buffs and nerfs. It’s poised to be the patch that will be used for TI10.
Most heroes underwent minor changes because of the patch while some heroes got significantly stronger or significantly weaker. Here’s a comprehensive look at three of each;
Naga is, by definition, a hero that aims for the late game.
She loves to splitpush to delay the game, and she loves to fight under on her own terms.
Following the new patch, Naga siren’s mirror image ability has been reduced by 3 seconds.
Also, less CD on her illusions now makes her farm faster.
If we remember all the previous nerfs on heroes like Sven, Gyro, and Luna and the nerfs on gold from stacks, it’s fair to say that Naga is now a viable carry.
Riki received a slight buff in the new patch.
Smokescreen now has a 10% extra miss chance in all levels! It is an excellent buff for Riki as a core and a support.
We need to understand that smokescreen is an excellent spell versus heroes who do not like to get Black King Bar or have gold.
Illusion heroes like Naga Siren and Phantom Lancer and supports who can’t afford it will always struggle.
So this extra 10% miss chance makes Riki a great tool versus Naga and Phantom Lancer, which we will get to see a lot in TI10!
Undying got a slight buff that is quite impactful in all stages of the game! Tombstone now requires an extra hit to destroy it on all levels.
Most importantly, level 1 requires 5 hits. Previously, in the laning stage, when the hero used level 1, both enemies would hit it twice and get destroyed.
Right now, though, they need an extra second to deal with it, which is enormous because they have to stick around to get harassed even more by undying and the position 1!
Tinker got some pretty hurtful nerfs!
His rearm ability now requires 20 more mana early on. On top of that, his Missiles do 10 less damage in all levels (20 less damage since it hits 2 targets!)
He also got some indirect nerfs.
If you’ve ever come up against a Tinker player, we know that the build nowadays is dagger into aether less, into shivas and Overwhelming blink.
In the 7.30D patch, they reduced the damage from overwhelming blink indirectly nerfing tinker as well!
Dawnbreaker is a hero that we expect to see a lot in The International.
It is simple. This hero simply does a lot. He has a solid laning stage, good slow, significant damage early on, global presence, and a great heal!
Following the new patch, the damage on Starbreaker was reduced by 30 and the slow early on Celestial Hammer was also reduced from 35% to 24%!
Usually, inside lane, the level 2 power spike is a great moment for heroes to kill, but, instead, what they did was make sure Dawnbreaker, a hero that’s great in the middle game, did not snowball from laning stage that easily.
Silencer is notorious for being a strong core as well as a strong support.
Arcane curse used to deal double the damage and slow while silenced. The hero was so strong that we were to see support killing midlaners if they could use a couple of spells while they have the curse on!
On top of that, items like Veil, Aether lens, and Aghanims were so strong.
While Silencer is still strong, they reduced the damage from Arcane Curse down to 1,7 to 2 while silenced.
That means that the insane amount of damage the hero had previously is now more manageable! On top of that, Aghanims crazy AoE is reduced from 650 to 500, giving a different reason not to consider this hero broken!
