Lesson description
Henrik thinks that in-game mentality is a very big deal, so keeping a positive mentality plays a key role in winning a game. If you’re going into a game thinking that you’ll lose, then you won’t do your best and most likely lose. You need to be able to focus on what you have to do in order to prepare for the match. Facing in-game anxiety can be tough, but you need to stay positive and fight it. You need to set yourself a goal and forget the fear of losing a rank. Mark your progress from game to game and see if you are slowly conquering your anxiety. Even If you fail, don’t beat yourself and try again. Staying confident while using skill shots is very important and you can’t expect to be able to hit every single skill shot you throw. Sometimes people will dodge them and you can’t do anything but learn their patterns — everybody has a dodge pattern, so focus on finding those patterns. Having a bad start will most certainly ruin your in-game mentality, so it might be a good time for you to take a small break from the game in order to retrace your steps and find out what’s wrong. Having a losing in-game mentality is bad for your team, so having that in check is a number one priority. After a losing streak, it’s a good idea to reset your mentality. Resetting your mentality varies from person to person, and it’s up to you to find what best works for you. For some people, walking and breathing in clear air works magic.
