Lesson description

Communication is key in League of Legends like in all other team sports. Good communication is when you give updates about every little aspect of the game, no matter how small. It doesn’t matter if you are mid, top or bottom lane, prompt updates will help your team avoid getting flanked and it can make all the difference in the world. Henrik points out that even though it sounds simple enough, doing it throughout the whole game, especially in stressed situations, can be difficult. Pinging is a super helpful method that you can use to communicate with your teammates without talking to them in real life. It can also be used to point out the exact place on the map that you are referring to. Its purpose is to inform your teammates about different things like, “attack this place”, “get away” or when you need help and so on. The best possible way to communicate will always be through a voice communication program, but we know that during solo lanes you will most likely not be able to. It’s therefore important that you know your pings. There are two kinds of pings, the original pings (Alert and Retreat) and the smart pings (Enemies missing, Assist me, On my way and Danger). You can use whichever you like better, but using smart pings allows you to give more accurate information.
