Donovan “Tekkz” Hunt is a five-time FIFA Ultimate Team Championships Cup winner and has been ranked as the number one player in the world for almost 2 years, from 2018 to 2020. Although he can’t remember exactly when he started playing FIFA, he began to play against other top players at the age of 14. From that moment, his mother helped him find online tournaments and begin his dynasty as a reigning champ on the virtual pitch. Since then, he has made a name for himself for having an incredibly aggressive style, and he is going to try and impart that knowledge to you throughout this course. In FIFA, it’s important to play unpredictably and go for the safe, risk-free options that lead to a controlled game plan.

2. DEFINE YOUR OWN PLAYSTYLE

If you want to become a great FIFA player, it is important to define your own playstyle. Before moving onto the rest of the course, Tekkz really recommends doing an introspection into your own game to identify your strengths and weaknesses.

3. FORMATIONS & INSTRUCTIONS (4-2-3-1)

The 4-2-3-1 formation is great and is just one that can’t go wrong as it’s very hard to break down. This formation is also very good for counter-attacking but you’ll want your wingers to be very fast but the main weakness of the 4-2-3-1 is that it doesn’t have 2 strikers.

4. FORMATIONS & INSTRUCTIONS(4-4-2 & 3-4-2-1)

The 4-4-2 is Donovan’s second favorite formation because of the nice square it forms in the attack. This gives you a lot of options to play aggressive and score even if it’s missing a CAM. You can easily pass the ball from your center midfielders to your strikers, and create different openings but you need to be careful because after the patch your strikers don’t come back anymore so look out for the defense.

5. PASSING TYPES

There are a lot of different ways for passes to create opportunities. A good way to do this is to use through balls down the line and then back to your center. Tekkz claims that the best way to pass in FIFA 20 to create space to score, is passing from center mid to center mid.

6. PASSING IN THE OPPONENTS BOX

The most important thing about passing is the timing of your through balls. In this episode, Tekkz shows several examples where he only uses passing to score goals and makes his opponent rage-quit after 3-0.

7. SKILL MOVES

Skill moves are one of the most important aspects of the game that is going to separate you from the average player. In this episode, Tekkz talks about all of the different skill moves he likes to implement in his game to help him score a lot more.

8. SHOOTING TYPES

Without mastering the mechanics of shooting, you won’t be able to win games, because, at the end of the day, scoring is all that matters when it comes to FIFA. If you are not able to score, then you won’t be able to win games.

9. ANGLES

FIFA 20 is a game of percentages and you always want to go with the play that has the highest success probability. In this episode, Donovan “Tekkz” Hunt goes over several examples of shooting in a draft game.

10. FREE KICKS

In this episode, Tekkz takes an in-depth look at everything you need to know about free-kicks including how to perform them and consistently score.

11. CORNERS

This year, headers are not very consistent so Tekkz has come up with his own tactic because nobody else knows what they can really do in corner situations. Tekkz’s corner tactic consists of always calling short, going to the edge and then putting the ball into the box

12. 12: MASTER DEFENDING

Defending is one of the biggest aspects that differentiate low-level players from top-tier ones purely because it is a very hard aspect to master. If you manage to perfect your defense it will allow you to become the aggressor even when the opponent is on your side of the pitch.
