Lesson description
In this episode, Cr1t- dives into his thought process when it comes to hero selection and drafting in both solo queue and competitive games. When playing position 4, it’s a good idea to not first pick. Usually, Cr1t- either picks his hero as the 2nd or 3rd pick. Doing so helps him formulate a good plan. His general rule of thumb is to choose a hero that counters the enemy support in his lane. In public matchmaking games, it is crucial to be aware of what your off-laner intends to do in the game. Sometimes your position 3 player will pick a hero that will require assistance during the laning phase, and you’ll need to adapt your game plan to the situation. In this episode, you’ll see an example of him having to play position 4 shadow shaman from the safelane. After a quick analysis of the lane, he buys boots first and wins the lane within the first 2 minutes.
